Russia Deploys Hypersonic Missile on Ukraine, Sends Warning to Western Nations
Moscow: Russia Sends a Direct Message to Western Nations by Using Newly Developed Hypersonic Ballistic Missile on Ukraine
Russia has sent a strong signal to Western nations by deploying its newly developed hypersonic ballistic missile against Ukraine. This action comes as a response to what Moscow describes as the “reckless” decisions and actions of Western countries supporting Ukraine.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that the missile was launched at Ukrainian military facilities. He added that after certain missiles were supplied to Ukraine by Western nations, they were used to attack Russian territory. Peskov emphasized this in a statement to reporters.
By using the hypersonic missile against Ukraine, Russia has demonstrated its military capabilities in a clear manner. Peskov warned that if Russia’s concerns are not addressed, the next steps of retaliation will be outlined in detail. He also mentioned that there was no need to warn the United States about the attack, as the US was informed 30 minutes before the missile was launched.
President Vladimir Putin remains open to dialogue, Peskov noted. However, he criticized the outgoing US President Joe Biden’s administration for prioritizing actions that escalate tensions. According to Putin, Russia decided to use its new missile in response to Ukraine’s attacks on Russian territory, which were carried out using six US-made ATACMS missiles.
This event highlights the growing tension between Russia, Ukraine, and the Western nations supporting Kyiv, as Moscow asserts its advanced military capabilities.
