Indian Workforce and Skills to Aid New Kuwait: PM Narendra Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Kuwait at the invitation of Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. This marks the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Kuwait in 43 years.
PM Narendra Modi Addresses Indian Community in Kuwait
Speaking to the Indian community in Kuwait on Saturday, PM Modi emphasized that India possesses the manpower, skills, and technology required to build a new Kuwait.
At the invitation of Kuwait’s Emir, this visit is historic as it’s the first time in over four decades that an Indian Prime Minister has traveled to the Gulf nation. “It takes just four hours to travel from India to Kuwait, but it has taken four decades for an Indian Prime Minister to make this journey,” he remarked.
“Mini India in Kuwait”
Wishing everyone well for the upcoming festive season, PM Modi expressed his joy, saying, “You all come from various parts of India, but looking at you, it feels like a mini India is gathered here.”

He added, “Every year, hundreds of Indians come to Kuwait, enriching Kuwaiti society with an Indian touch. You have painted Kuwait’s canvas with the colors of Indian skills, talent, technology, and traditions.”
PM Modi highlighted that India is well-equipped with the necessary workforce, skills, and technology to contribute to Kuwait’s development and prosperity.
