New Delhi: In the past one and a half years, a record number of approximately 10 lakh permanent government jobs have been provided to the youth, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday.
Addressing the recruits at the Rozgar Mela, PM Modi stated that no previous government had provided employment on such a massive scale through programs like this. In this Rozgar Mela, 71,000 candidates received appointment letters.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the central government’s policies and programs prioritize the youth. He noted that the recruitment process maintains integrity and transparency. Additionally, a significant proportion of women are being recruited, and the government is striving to empower women in every sector.
PM Modi highlighted the government’s decision to provide 26 weeks of maternity leave, which has greatly supported women in their professional lives. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, most of the houses are owned by women.
Maximizing the potential and talent of Indian youth is a top priority for this government, PM Modi said. He cited initiatives such as Startup India, Digital India, and reforms in the space and defense sectors, where young people play a prominent role.
