Earthquake: Tremors in Andhra Pradesh, Nepal, Cuba, and Other Regions; 12 Dead in Vanuatu!
New Delhi: Several countries around the world experienced strong earthquakes, including India’s Andhra Pradesh, neighboring Nepal, Cuba, and the island nation of Vanuatu in the South Pacific Ocean.
In Andhra Pradesh’s Prakasam district, tremors were felt for the third time in three days. Residents of Mundlamuru reported feeling the quake again today, with continuous tremors occurring over the past three days. Tremors were also recorded on Saturday and Sunday morning at 10:35 AM, causing residents to flee their homes. Objects inside homes shook, leaving people fearful and confused about what might be happening in the area.
Tremors in Gujarat’s Kutch Region
In addition to Andhra Pradesh, tremors were also felt in Gujarat’s Kutch region, where a magnitude of 3.7 was recorded on the Richter scale. The epicenter was reported to be in Lakhpat, 76 kilometers northeast of the state capital Gandhinagar, according to the Institute of Seismological Research (ISR). This is the second tremor in the region this month.

Earthquake in Nepal
In Nepal, an earthquake of magnitude 5.2 was recorded early this morning at 3:59 AM. The epicenter was located at a depth of 10 kilometers at 29.17°N latitude and 81.59°E longitude. Officials reported that the epicenter was in Gotri, Ward No. 5 of Jagannath Rural Municipality in Bajura district.
The tremor caused damage to 123 houses in the upper and lower Gotri areas, but no casualties were reported.
The continuous occurrence of earthquakes in these regions has left residents worried and authorities on high alert.
Vanuatu Hit by 6.1 Magnitude Earthquake
Just yesterday, the Pacific island nation of Vanuatu experienced a powerful 6.1 magnitude earthquake. Early Sunday morning, the quake shook buildings on Vanuatu’s main island. At least 12 people lost their lives, and several structures sustained significant damage. CCTV footage captured the tremors. The epicenter was located at a depth of 40 kilometers (25 miles) and about 30 kilometers west of the capital city.
Earthquake in Cuba
Cuba also experienced an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9. The epicenter was reported 46 kilometers south of Guisa, at a depth of approximately 25 kilometers, according to EMSC reports.
