Trump Appeals to US Supreme Court to Lift TikTok Ban

As the deadline approaches, Donald Trump himself has taken steps to resolve the ongoing controversy. The matter is set to be heard in court next month.
Washington: According to a report by The New York Times, US President Donald Trump has filed an appeal with the US Supreme Court, requesting the court to lift the law that mandates a ban on the popular social media platform TikTok by January 19, or alternatively, to allow TikTok’s operations to be sold to another company in the United States.
As the deadline nears, Trump has taken the initiative to resolve the dispute. The issue will be presented in court next month. The appeal states that President Trump opposes the ban on TikTok in the United States.

There are 170 million TikTok users in the US, and the appeal calls for resolving this issue in the interests of both user safety and national security. Additionally, Trump is a prominent figure on social media, especially TikTok, where he has 14.7 million followers, and engages in active communication with them.
Considering the platform’s importance for free speech, including major political speeches, Trump has moved forward with the appeal to lift the TikTok ban.
