Secret Money Case: Donald Trump to Receive Sentence on January 10

The newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump will take the oath of office on January 20. He won the election last year and will be entering the White House in January. However, before that, he faces a significant crisis. His Republican Party is in shock.
In a major development, Donald Trump will face sentencing on January 10 related to an investigation into a secret money case. This ruling comes just two weeks before he is sworn in as President
Judge Juan M. Marchan, who is overseeing Trump’s case in Manhat.tan, indicated in a written order that Trump would be sentenced to an “unconditional disclosure,” a term that refers to revealing all. However, there will be no jail sentence or fines as the case is closed. Trump will appear virtually for the hearing on January 10.
Trump’s Communications Director, Steven Cheung, has reiterated that the case, which has long been described as illegal, should be completely dismissed. He emphasized that no sentence should be imposed, and that President-elect Trump will continue to fight these allegations. Cheung did not elaborate on Trump’s next legal steps.

Former Manhattan Judge Diane Keisel stated that under New York law, no appeal could be filed, although Trump might attempt to appeal.
The sentence could involve a fine or imprisonment for up to four years, with 78-year-old Trump facing a significant legal battle. His sentencing was initially scheduled for July 11 but was postponed twice following requests from the defense.
What is the case?
The case involves a transaction where Trump paid $130,000 to adult film star Stormy Daniels in May to silence her about their sexual affair. This was related to attempts by his former lawyer Michael Cohen to conceal the payment in the final days of the 2016 election campaign. Trump was found guilty of 34 serious criminal offenses related to false business records.
