“Paris, we’re coming today”: Advertisement leads to mockery, Pakistan’s PIA investigation ordered

The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has found itself in an embarrassing situation after using an image from the 9/11 attacks in an advertisement promoting its flights to Paris.
The advertisement, which was meant to announce the resumption of flights to Paris, featured the Eiffel Tower, the main attraction of the city, alongside an image of a plane that resembled the 9/11 attacks, with the message “Paris, we’re coming today.”
This ad quickly became a subject of ridicule on social media, leading to widespread discussions. In response, the Prime Minister of Pakistan has ordered an investigation into the matter.
The ad’s controversial imagery recalls the September 11, 2001, attacks on the World Trade Center in New York. There is also a historical connection between the 9/11 attacks and Pakistan, as the alleged mastermind, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, was arrested in Pakistan in 2003, and Osama bin Laden, the leader of Al-Qaeda, was killed by U.S. forces in Pakistan in 2011.
Tone deaf! @Official_PIA please fire the ad agency that designed this. And the official who approved it. Unbelievable incompetence. pic.twitter.com/7yROF0sMAH
