Maha Kumbh Mela 2025: On the Fourth Day, 3 Million Devotees Take a Holy Dip at Triveni Sangam!
Over 70 million devotees are participating in the world’s largest religious gathering. On January 14, during Makar Sankranti, more than 35 million people took part.
Prayagraj: On the fourth day of the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, more than 3 million devotees took a holy dip at Triveni Sangam. According to the released figures, by 6 PM on Thursday, 3 million people had visited the Maha Kumbh and performed the sacred bath at Sangam. Among them, over 1 million were sadhus (holy men), and 2 million were pilgrims.
More than 70 million devotees are partaking in the world’s largest religious gathering. On January 14, during Makar Sankranti, over 35 million people participated. Due to the large influx of devotees, the Prayagraj administration has set up an AI-based computerized Lost and Found Center.
In an update shared with news agency ANI, the Additional Mela Officer Vivek Chaturvedi mentioned that an AI-based Lost and Found Center has been established, where provisions for shelter, clothes, and food are made for the missing people.

“We have not encountered a single case where we could not reunite children or missing persons with their families. We are receiving positive feedback regarding this system,” he said.
On Wednesday, a delegation of 21 members from 10 countries, including Fiji, Finland, and Guyana, bathed at Triveni Sangam. This year, under the leadership of the Yogi government, the Maha Kumbh Mela has garnered global attention. The Maha Kumbh Mela, which began on January 13, will continue until February 26.
