Chandigarh: A special U.S. Air Force aircraft, C17 Globemaster III, carrying 112 deported Indians is expected to land at Amritsar International Airport late at night on February 16.
Sources have stated that among the 112 deported individuals, 31 are from Punjab, 44 from Haryana, 33 from Gujarat, and two from Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
Last night, a U.S. military plane carrying 117 illegal Indian immigrants, including 65 from Punjab, landed at Amritsar Airport around 11:30 PM. On February 5, the first flight from the U.S. carrying 104 deported individuals arrived in Amritsar. In both instances, the deported individuals had their hands cuffed, and their legs chained.
This operation is part of the U.S. Immigration officials’ crackdown on individuals who either entered the country illegally or overstayed their visas.
