According to Goiás Civil Police, the accused woman’s name has not been disclosed, but she was dissatisfied with her colleague’s promotion. On February 14, the boss announced the promotions, and it made the woman angry. She started to argue with her colleague, as she had hoped to receive the promotion. But the promotion went to someone else, and this angered her so much that she decided to take revenge.

When the promoted woman left the office, the accused woman mixed a toxic chemical into her colleague’s water bottle, according to reports from the Daily Mail. The entire incident was captured on CCTV, which shows the accused woman adding something into the water. When the victim drank the water, she felt a burning sensation in her mouth and immediately contacted medical help.

A case of attempted murder has been filed against the accused. If proven guilty, she could face a prison sentence ranging from 7 to 20 years. This incident comes at a time when poison-related attacks are on the rise in Brazil. In recent months, there have been several significant poisoning incidents in the country.

A few weeks later, her body was found in a prison cell. Meanwhile, another woman named Maria Silva and her lover were arrested for poisoning their family members on New Year’s Day, causing the deaths of seven members.
