Reports from Gaza indicate that around 100,000 Palestinians are currently trapped in northern Gaza, as Israel’s military intensifies its ground operations. Israel has ordered residents of northern Gaza to evacuate southward, citing intentions to target Hamas forces in the area. However, movement has reportedly become extremely difficult and dangerous, with roads cut off and consistent airstrikes, making it challenging for civilians to relocate safely.

Humanitarian organizations have raised concerns about the escalating crisis, warning of severe shortages of food, water, and medical supplies in Gaza. The conflict remains highly contentious, with ongoing global calls for a resolution that prioritizes civilian safety amidst intense hostilities.

According to recent reports, Israeli military operations in northern Gaza have intensified, leading to significant civilian impact. Approximately 100,000 residents are reportedly trapped in areas such as Jabalia, Beit Lahiya, and Beit Hanoun, facing shortages of medical supplies, food, and essential services.

Hospitals and medical facilities are reportedly being affected as well, with incidents of damage, power shortages, and detentions of medical personnel. The United Nations has expressed deep concern about the humanitarian impact, urging protection for civilians and adherence to international law. Meanwhile, diplomatic efforts are ongoing, with countries like Egypt proposing a brief ceasefire to facilitate a humanitarian corridor and potential hostage-prisoner exchanges.

The Gaza Strip’s health ministry said around 19 people were killed by Israeli airstrikes and bombardment on 28 October (Monday).

The emergency service said its operations had ground to a halt as three-week-long Israeli assault back into the north, an area where the military said it had wiped out Hamas combat forces earlier.
