The long-awaited allocation of portfolios to the ministers of the Maharashtra government has been completed after the formation of the government and cabinet.
The significant Home Department has been retained by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Deputy Chief Minister and Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde has been allocated the Ministry of Urban Development, Housing, and Public Works.
Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has been given the Excise Department along with the Finance and Planning portfolios. This development comes after the Mahayuti government, following its cabinet expansion on Sunday, excluded several leaders from the cabinet.
