Washington: U.S. President Donald Trump has appointed another Indian-American to a key position in the White House. Indian-American entrepreneur and author Sriram Krishnan was named Senior Policy Advisor for Artificial Intelligence at the White House on Sunday.
Trump announced that Sriram Krishnan would serve as Senior Advisor for AI Policy in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy.

Previously leading product teams at Microsoft, Twitter, Yahoo!, Facebook, and Snap, Krishnan will work alongside David O. Sacks, the White House AI and Crypto Czar.
Krishnan will assist in formulating and organizing AI policy across the government, including working with the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology. Trump highlighted that Krishnan began his career at Microsoft as a founding member of Windows Azure.
Krishnan expressed his gratitude, stating, “It’s an honor to serve our country and work closely with David Sacks to ensure America’s leadership in AI continues.” The Indian-American community has warmly welcomed his appointment.
