“Success is uncertain, but entertainment is guaranteed”: Elon Musk’s statement following Starship rocket booster failure
Washington: Despite continuous failures, renowned American entrepreneur Elon Musk has made a surprising statement regarding the crash of his Starship rocket.
Musk’s company, SpaceX, tested its most powerful rocket, Starship, but unfortunately, the rocket booster, due to engine failure, lost contact with the spacecraft as it was ascending and crashed back to Earth. Elon Musk responded on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “Success is uncertain, but entertainment is guaranteed!”
What went wrong? Why did it fail?
SpaceX, owned by the famous American entrepreneur Elon Musk, tested its most powerful rocket, Starship. During the test, the booster rocket returned to the launch pad, but due to engine failure, it lost contact with the spacecraft while it was ascending.
Starship and the Super Heavy rocket are referred to as ‘Starship.’ On January 17, at 4 AM, the rocket was launched from Boca Chica, Texas. However, just minutes after takeoff, the spacecraft exploded. Within 18 minutes of the rocket’s launch, its six engines stopped functioning one by one, and it lost contact with the ground, eventually crashing to Earth.

Fuel Leak Cause
Preliminary investigations suggest that a fuel/oxygen leak in the engine firewall caused the explosion. This was the seventh test flight for Starship, and NASA is preparing it for future missions, including lunar landings. Musk envisions this rocket as a means of sending humans to Mars in the future.
Like previous test flights, this spacecraft was supposed to travel from Texas to the Mexican Gulf. SpaceX had also conducted a training flight with 10 dummy satellites to test the rocket’s performance. The new rocket stood at 400 feet (123 meters) in height, but the flight failed to succeed.
