PM Modi in the US: Grand Welcome by Non-Resident Indians; Meeting with US Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard

After arriving in the United States, Prime Minister Modi visited Blair House. During this visit, the Indian community welcomed him with cheers of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Modi… Modi…”
Washington: Prime Minister Narendra Modi began his two-day visit to the US on Wednesday, landing at Joint Andrews Base, where non-resident Indians gave him a warm welcome.
Upon arrival in the US, Modi visited Blair House, where he was greeted by the Indian community with slogans of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Modi… Modi…”
Despite the cold weather and rain, a large number of non-resident Indians gathered to catch a glimpse of Prime Minister Modi.
Modi later posted on social media platform X, saying, “A warm welcome in the cold. Despite the chilly weather, the Indian community in Washington DC welcomed me with a special reception. My gratitude to them.”
Meanwhile, to mark the Prime Minister’s visit to the US, Indian tricolor flags were displayed at Blair House, where Modi will be staying. Blair House is the official guest house for visiting dignitaries of the US President.
Washington, DC: The US flag was replaced with the Indian flag at the Blair House before the arrival of PM Modi. The prime minister was greeted with a warm welcome as he landed in Washington earlier today.
During his visit, PM Modi met with the Director of the US National Intelligence Agency, Tulsi Gabbard, where they discussed the India-US relationship.
On social media, Modi shared, “Met the USA’s Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard in Washington DC. Congratulated her on her confirmation. We discussed various aspects of the India-USA friendship, of which she has always been a strong supporter.”

Prime Minister Modi’s visit is at the invitation of US President Donald Trump. This is Modi’s first visit to the US after Trump assumed office for a second term.

The Indian Ambassador to the US, Vinay Mohan Kwatra, along with other officials, welcomed Modi at the airport. Prime Minister Modi will engage in bilateral talks with President Donald Trump, with expectations of further strengthening the India-US bilateral relationship.
