In New Orleans, Louisiana, on Bourbon Street, where people were celebrating the New Year, a truck crashed into the crowd, killing at least 10 people and injuring over 30 others. There are suspicions that the attack was intended to cause mass murder by exploding the truck. The FBI has confirmed this information.
The incident occurred around 3:15 AM on Bourbon Street, located in the heart of the French Quarter, near Iberville Street. The suspect, who was driving the truck, fired a gun at people before the police intervened and killed him.

The FBI has launched an investigation to determine if this was a terrorist act. Initial reports suggest that explosive devices were found at the scene. The investigation is ongoing regarding the suspicion that the attack was intended to create a mass killing by blowing up the truck.
Ann Kirkpatrick, the Police Superintendent of New Orleans, described the attack as intentional and destructive, and stated that the suspect attempted to kill as many people as possible.
